I read this story and almost couldn’t believe it, but given the racial climate since Bam crip-walked into the White House, this sounds par for the course…
A popular restaurant/bar in Philly is bein sued by a bartender who works there, claimin’ they discourage non-white customers from bellyin’ up to the bar. From even comin’ thru the door.
Michael Bolden, part-time lawyer and bartender says the GM of McFadden’s Restaurant and Bar, told a weekend supe to “end a promotion that seemed popular with black clientele”.
TEXT MESSAGE: “We don’t want black people we are a white bar!”
Clear as day. And to top it off, the mofo was not only rabidly racist, he is a stereotypin’ rabid racist; the dress code banned patrons from wearin’ baggy clothes (saggin’?) work boots (Tims?) and white t-shirts (white T?). This just screams discrimination, doesn’t it?
Michael Bolden: “I feel a sense of moral obligation to take a stand, say what is wrong is wrong, and try to effectuate some meaningful change, no matter how great or small it may be.”
(I’m sure they mad and ready to kick Michael’s ass to the curb for this, but they already lookin’ kinda grimey…)
I like this guy…
Of course East Coast Saloons, the parent company, hurried up and sent an email to The Philly Inquirer denyin’ any policies of racial discrimination. Hmm…
So- add this to the Wal-Mart and Whole Foods f*ckery -yep, they ‘asked’ Black Folks to leave the buildin‘ too!-and what do you get? Clear evidence that America is polarized (but in serious denial) by racism and hatred. It all seems to have really climaxed since The Election of Bam. And this shyt is perfectly ok.
Wouldnt it be nice if everyone could just live and let live, and not trip off what the next person looks like, and why they don’t look like you? Wouldnt a person bein’ judge on their qualifications and content of character instead of the color of their skin? Wouldn’t it be nice if this bullshyt didn’t exist?
Only in a perfect world… And we far soooooooooo from that.
