Drug Test Required for Welfare!

Looks like they goin’ hard in the State of Florida.  Gov. Rick Scott signed a law Tuesday that requires drug screens for adults applyin’ for welfare.

The law goes live July 1st.    The Florida Department of Children and Family Services will start requirin’ to  drug tests adults applyin’ to the state’s TANF program.   And the recipient pays for the test.  IF they pass and get approved,  the cost will be refunded to them in their check.   If the person doesn’t pass, they can get another person to recieve the benefits for their children, but they wont be eligible for one year or until they get treatment.    Fail the second time?   3 years till they can apply again.   (Ouch!)

I guess The Gov does have a point, when he says its unfair for Florida taxpayers to subsidize drug addictions.”

I see the ‘pros’ in this.  We all know Becky/Shaniqua and Cody/Jamaal with the houseful of kids and a phat-ass check and foodstamps.  They on crack/meth/E-pills/heroin (select one), and spend all the money on to get high, then sell the stamps to keep gettin’ high (and a pack of cigs and a beer/wine/’erk and jerk’).   When all that’s gone, they at community action agencies, lookin’ for food baskets, assistance with utility bills, and rent.   Not only have the taxpayers supplied the 1st check, they pickin’ up the tab on the ‘band-aid’ too.

Most of these people really are worthless, acceptin’ (in some cases, demandin’) the help, but not tryin’ to help themselves. Layin’ up in they bs.   No job trainin’ or further education, things that are offered to them to try and dig they asses out of the ditch they in…  These agencies will even keep the kids and they still won’t get off the couch.

So what about the ‘recreational weed smoker’? (the only one I can side with.  If you doin’  anything above weed, you need a 12-step program instead of a check.)

Anyway, the ALCU and some Florida Dems say its an invasion of privacy, and called it a “humiliating search of their urine and body fluids without cause or even suspicion of drug abuse“.

There will be some challenges, but its law today, folks.

Educational Racism

Well -I be dayumm!
I know parents can be cuffed up for bein’ lazy (that’s all it is) and not sendin’ their kids to school, but jailed for sendin’ them?   WTF??

A woman in Ohio was arrested for just that.

The problem was that she sent her babies to a school in a district they didn’t live in.  This is the crime they say was committed.  They called it “tampering with court (?) records “- one for each child.    This is the crime Judge Patricia Cosgrove gave her 10 days in the hoose-gow and three years on paper (probation) for.    This is the crime they say is worth $30ThouWow + “in tuition” (public schools now charge tuition? Dayumm times have changed and nobody told me!)

Kelly Williams-Bolar  will begin servin’ her sentence immediately.

They went straight gangsta, and arrested her dad, Edward L. Williams, too!    Po’ thang, all he did was say they lived with him,  in Copley Township, the school in question’s district, instead of the projects in Akron, the one they  really live in.   Charged his ass with a 4th  degree felony grand theft  (they really on the juice!) for “defrauding the school system of educational services“  for the girls.  

They make it sound like they stole some cable or somethin’.  It’s not like the woman burst into the school office, guns blazin’  and took it. 

All she wanted to do was give her children with a better education and a better chance at life.  Better than  they would have had in the projects, since we all know that school in the projects is more about gettin’ to and from , and through school alive , than gettin’ any type of education.  We  all know there is a huge racial division in American schools, and there are less of what is considered just enough in black schools,  then there is white schools. 

So why is it a crime to try to not condemn your child to a possible life of illiteracy, minimum wages, crime, drugs, prostitution, illegitimate children and abuse?    This is a strugglin’ single mother, goin’ to college and workin’ as a TA, never seen the inside of the police station.   All she wanted to do was give hers a better row to hoe.   Now this bullshyt threatens her job and her dreams of bein’ a teacher…   And her kids are goin’ back to purgatory.

If they REALLY did an investigation, they’d probably find out Miss Kelly is not the only one, some of those ‘others‘ may not really live in the district either.  I f I was Miss Kelly, Id demand that they did.

Why cant a parent send their kids to what ever school they want to?   With all the horrible crime in the world, this is what the cops and the courts are wastin’ our tax money on.

Bad Credit = No Job?

Current Job Applicant Status: Shyt Outta Luck

When I went to GA in 2005, is when I was first aware that a person’s credit score had a lot to do with what job a person gets and in some cases, whether or not they even get the job. 

Now that rule is comin under fire by the EEOC.    The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission peoples.   They takin’ a look at it.   And it’s about time. 

Critics (which surely includes me!) say the checks unfairly discriminate against minorities (Black folks and Hispanics usually have bad credit and amongst the highest of the unemployed, compared to White America) and the ‘newly poor’ affected by the recession.  47% of businesses currently run credit checks for employment.

I’ve always said that how much money I owe, and how I pay my bills shouldn’t have shyt to do with how I do the job I was hired for.   And how else do I change that, without a job, so I can make the bread to ‘pay down’ the dayumm bills and raise the dayumm credit score?    A true Catch-22.

The employer is not gonna tell you (in most instances) that your credit score is the reason you didn’t get the job.    They usually just say you didnt ‘quite meet the requirments for the position’.    You may have been over-qualified.  That would surely work on my self esteem.    And its a horrible deception. 

Heard a horror story about a woman who applied at a mortgage brokerage firm, made it to the final interview,  and then was tossed under the bus because she was behind on her own mortgage.    She was more than qualified for the job. 

The rationale behind this bullshyt is that if you have credit issues, you have little or no integrity,  and basically might steal some shyt.   I guess it makes sense when we talkin’ about handlin’ someone’s finances.  You don’t want a mofo with huge gamblin’ debts, havin’  access to your assets.   (Lets not forget Bernie Maddoff’s ass.)  But it makes no sense for a person who is lookin’ for a janitorial job to have to fear a credit check.  WTF would his/her debts have to do with cleanin’ toliets and washin’ windows?

It would seem to me a ‘credit challenged’ person is the BEST candidate for the job.  This mofo is broke and hungry and has bills to pay.  They comin’ to work, on time and in full, ready to go.    They’re gonna do the job cause they need that paycheck.    And what other way to climb outta the hole, than bein’  able to pay the dayumm bills?

Sometimes these  companies f*ck themselves.   A man with a thousand degrees and eons of drive and experience, can be sent packin’ because he defaulted on his student loan or somethin’.   Then they hire a blockhead with no experience but excellent credit,  who can’t find his way out of a dayumm paper bag without help…

Look, people don’t get up in the morning sayin’ “What can I do to f*ck off my credit score today?”   Shyt  happens.   People make mistakes.  Sometimes shyt happens so fast, they just wake up and this is what that is.     They still deserve a chance.

I hope the practice is eliminated.  Then maybe good people can get back to work,  pay they bills, and get back to spendin’ money.  The economy can rebound, and maybe change can commence to comin’.

Kids Didn’t Hear Obama, But Will be *Bussed* for Bush?

         The Arlington Independent School District, which passed on airing President Barack Obama’s live classroom address, has announced that some students will be bussed off campus to hear a message from former President George W. Bush on Sept. 21.  Talk about blatant racism!  They can’t go and hear a man speak on the quality of education, but can be bussed to listen to an idiot, a man going down in history as The Stupiest President in History?   What a load of bullshyt!

District officials said it’s part of a Cowboys Stadium field trip that the North Texas Super Bowl Host Committee invited 28 fifth-grade classes to attend several months ago.  Yeah…right!

In addition to hearing from Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, the students will hear from legendary Dallas Cowboys players and North Texas business and community leaders.   The event launches the Super Bowl committee’s largest-ever youth education program.  Any of them Black should boycott the event!

Dwight McKissic Sr., the senior pastor of Arlington’s Cornerstone Baptist Church, said he’s concerned about the district’s decision to not broadcast Obama’s message while transporting students to hear a message from Bush.

“I do not understand the duplicity in this situation,” McKissic said in a news release from the church. “I believe the students and the public deserve and need to have these differences explained.”    And they should be!

Obama told students to stay in school, work hard and set goals in an 18-minute speech delivered Tuesday morning from Wakefield High School in Arlington, Va.

The Arlington school district, like many in North Texas, decided not to broadcast the president’s speech live after some parents expressed concern about its content.

The district said the recorded speech would be made available through its Web site, and allowed students with permission slips from parents an excused absence to watch Obama’s speech at an off-site location.  WTF??!!  Why all this drama?

Cornerstone Baptist Church was among the facilities that broadcast the Obama’s address for students and parents who wanted to watch the speech live.
 Texas is a racist state as a whole anyway .  Look how many Black men they have sent to the chair, or  wrongfully  imprisioned?  I live in Arlington TX, and see this blatant racism on a daily basis.  I thought it was ridiculous that parents were willing to keep their kids home from school, just to NOT hear this Black man speak.

I just think this is stupid, and really hope they make a big deal out of it…

 We all know that there are groups who just still will not accept the fact that this Black man is the President!  The news and internet are  filled with their “issues” with everything the man says and does. 

**News Flash**–First off the people  elected him.   There were more Whytes who voted for Obama than Blacks.  Its done, there’s no do-overs.  The man inherited the presidency with the  country  immersed in two wars, banks and the economy failing, people out of work, no healthcare,etc-all NONE of his doing.     The Whyte folks before him spent 8 years misleading our country and driving us right into the position we are in today as a country.    These people blame Obama for everything from the economy , to the fact that their tire  blew this mornin’, and they dont have a spare…

 There are people here in TX saying they will keep their kids out of school that day…why?  What are they telling their children is the reason?   Don’t  they know they are just instilling  bigotry and racism into their children?    If they tell them the truth, their racism is showing.  What other reason do they have to act this way? 

Get over yourself , and come out of denial.   Or,  you can always find an island you can populate with all people and things you like, and run it.   Till then,  sit down and shut up.

1. The Negro Must Learn To Put First Things First. The First Things Are:  Education; Development of Character Traits; A Trade and Home Ownership.  * The Negro puts too much of his earning in clothes, in food, in show and in having what he calls “a good time.” The Dr. Kelly Miller said, ”The Negro buys what he WANTS and begs for what he needs.” 
 
2. The Negro Must Stop Expecting God and White Folk To Do For Him What He Can Do For Himself. * It is the “Divine Plan” that the strong shall help the weak, but even God does not do for man what man can do for himself. The Negro will have to do exactly what Jesus told the man (in John 5:8) to do–Carry his own load–”Take up your bed and walk.” 

 3. The Negro Must Keep Himself, His Children And His Home Clean And Make The Surroundings In Which He Lives Comfortable and Attractive.  * He must learn to “run his community up”–not down.  We can segregate by law, we integrate only by living. Civilization is not a matter of race, it is a matter of standards. Believe it or not–some day, some race is going to outdo the Anglo-Saxon, completely. It can be the Negro race, if the Negro gets sense enough. Civilization goes up and down that way.          

4. The Negro Must Learn To Dress More Appropriately For Work And For Leisure.  * Knowing what to wear–how to wear it–when to wear it and where to wear it, are earmarks of common sense, culture and also an index to character.   

5. The Negro Must Make His Religion An Everyday Practice And Not Just A Sunday-Go-To-Meeting Emotional Affair.   

 6. The Negro Must Highly Resolve To Wipe Out Mass Ignorance.  * The leaders of the race must teach and inspire the masses to become eager and determined to improve mentally, morally and spiritually, and to meet the basic requirements of good citizenship.  * We should start an intensive literacy campaign in America, as well as in Africa. Ignorance– satisfied ignorance –is a millstone about the neck of the race. It is democracy’s greatest burden.  * Social integration is a relationship attained as a result of the cultivation of kindred social ideals, interests and standards.  * It is a blending process that requires time, understanding and kindred purposes to achieve.    Likes alone and not laws can do it.  

7. The Negro Must Stop Charging His Failures Up To His “Color” And To White People’s Attitude. * The truth of the matter is that good service and conduct will make senseless race prejudice fade like mist before the rising sun.  * God never intended that a man’s color shall be anything other than a badge of distinction . It is high time that all races were learning that fact. The Negro must first QUALIFY for whatever position he wants.  Purpose, initiative, ingenuity and industry are the keys that all men use to get what they want. The Negro will have to do the same. He must make himself a worker who is too skilled not to be wanted, and too DEPENDABLE not to be on the job, according to promise or plan. He will never become a vital factor in industry until he learns to put into his work the vitalizing force of initiative, skill and dependability. He has gone “RIGHTS” mad and “DUTY” dumb.      

8. The Negro Must Overcome His Bad Job Habits.  * He must make a brand new reputation for himself in the world of labor.  His bad job habits are absenteeism, funerals to attend, or a little business to look after. The Negro runs an off and on business. He also has a bad reputation for conduct on the job–such as petty quarreling with other help, incessant loud talking about nothing; loafing, carelessness, due to lack of job pride; insolence, gum chewing and–too often–liquor drinking. Just plain bad job habits!         

9. He Must Improve His Conduct In Public Places.  * Taken as a whole, he is entirely too loud and too ill-mannered.  * There is much talk about wiping out racial segregation and also much talk about achieving integration.  * Segregation is a physical arrangement by which people are separated in various services.  * It is definitely up to the Negro to wipe out the apparent justification or excuse for segregation. * The only effective way to do it is to clean up and keep clean. By practice, cleanliness will become a habit and habit becomes character. 
 
10. The Negro Must Learn How To Operate Business For People–Not For Negro People, Only. * To do business, he will have to remove all typical ”earmarks,” business principles; measure up to accepted standards and meet stimulating competition, graciously–in fact, he must learn to welcome competition.    

11. The Average So-Called Educated Negro Will Have To Come Down Out Of The Air.  He Is Too Inflated Over Nothing.    He Needs An Experience Similar To The One That Ezekiel Had–(Ezekiel 3:14-19).    And He Must Do What Ezekiel Did * Otherwise, through indifference, as to the plight of the masses, the Negro, who thinks that he has escaped, will lose his own soul. It will do all leaders good to read Hebrew 13:3, and the first Thirty-seven Chapters of Ezekiel.     * A race transformation itself through its own leaders and its sensible ”common people.” A race rises on its own wings, or is held down by its own weight. True leaders are never “things apart from the people.” They are the masses. They simply got to the front ahead of them. Their only business at the front is to inspire to masses by hard work and noble example and challenge them to “Come on!” Dante stated a fact when he said, “Show the people the light and they will find the way!”  * There must arise within the Negro race a leadership that is not out hunting bargains for itself. A noble example is found in the men and women of the Negro race, who, in the early days, laid down their lives for the people. Their invaluable contributions have not been appraised by the “latter-day leaders.” In many cases, their names would never be recorded, among the unsung heroes of the world, but for the fact that white friends have written them there. ”Lord, God of Hosts, Be with us yet.”  * The Negro of today does not realize that, but, for these exhibits A’s, that certainly show the innate possibilities of members of their own race, white people would not have been moved to make such princely investments in lives and money, as they have made, for the establishment of schools and for the ongoing of the race.       

12. The Negro Must Stop Forgetting His Friends.  ”Remember.”  * Read Deuteronomy 24:18. Deuteronomy rings the big bell of gratitude.  Why? Because an ingrate is an abomination in the sight of God. God is constantly telling us that “I the Lord thy God delivered you” –through human instrumentalities.  * The American Negro has had and still has friends–in the North and in the South. These friends not only pray, speak, write, influence others, but make unbelievable, unpublished sacrifices and contributions for the advancement of the race–for their brothers in bonds.  * The noblest thing that the Negro can do is to so live and labor that these benefactors will not have given in vain. The Negro must make his heart warm with gratitude, his lips sweet with thanks and his heart and mind resolute with purpose to prove the sacrifices and stand on his feet and go forward– “God is no respecter of persons. In every nation, he that feareth him and worketh righteousness is” sure to win out. Get to work! That’s the answer to everything that hurts us. We talk too much about nothing instead of redeeming the time by working.        

R-E-M-E-M-B-E-R  * In spite of race prejudice, America is brim full of opportunities. Go after them!  

She had a point back then, and still has one today.  It’s amazin’ how this applies today… 

Teachers/Student Sex-(*sigh*) Again.

      There is a story on CBS News Online about teachers having sex with students.   Again.  The world is so swept up in that lately, that it’s not unusual to see that in a headline these days.  Whats is unusual about this story is the age of one of the vics. 

We were all shocked when Mary K had the affair (and subsequent 2 children) with the 15 yr old.    Two teachers, one a PK (Preachers Kid) were arrested for having sex with students (a total of 6 I think) at their school-one of which was 11 years old!!  He dont even kno he got a dyck yet! MAN!

I’d have to beat you down for even thinkin of touchin my 11-year-old!  (if I had one!)

What the controversy is, is that the teachers are white and the victims are Black, and the fact that these ladies have been released on house arrest, with ankle-monitors at that!! 

WTF??!!

God SURELY knows that, had these ladies been Black, and FOR SURE had they been Black Men molesting white gurls, they asses would be so far under the jail, they’d need an excavation team to find them for court!!  Yet they home with their families and for now,  tryin to get on with their lives, and live down this shame…

So whats up with that??  Racism is so blatant yet so hushed up these days.  Everyone smooths everything over. 

This will be smoothed over as well…a slap on the wrist, probation, and maybe a round on the talk shows and in the tabloids.
