Saddam’s Execution…

2006 December 29

7e4c.jpg  I dont too much get involved in these politics-they’re so messy-but I would like to kno why this man is “on death row” and scheduled to be put to death within the next 30 days. As early as this weekend. There are people on death row that have been there for the last 10 years exhausting appeals. What rule/law/regulation says that this mans sentence needs to be carried out fort with? I guess this goes along with the Iraqy prisoners who were held without arraignment for the last 3 some years.

And then there is the aspect of violence (more?). On the news there was a “shadowy figure” saying there will be increase in the violence. He pointedly said Americans “will not be able to walk the streets” there…He called for a complete withdrawal of American troops, which wouldnt be a bad idea.

The chaos continues…

Saddam Hussein was transferred to the Iraqi government, instead of being a prisoner of war under the United States of America. Thus, since he was transferred to the Iraqi government it is there decision to carry forth the hanging of Saddam Hussein. I believe it is practiced in countries such as Saudi Arabia, that one who commits a severe felony would be up for execution (may it be hanging or beheading).

Regarding, your statement – “Americans “will not be able to walk the streets””. That is correct. Americans and foreigners are targets for insurgents in Iraq.

I do agree with you regarding the withdrawal of American troops in Iraq. Personally, President Bush needs to stop symbolizing Iraq as a “war against terror”. I think it would be beneficial if a United Nations party will be responsible in the reformation of Iraq. I believe there would be more peace and stability in the country.
